Driver Requirements & Insurance

1. Minimum driver age

Minimum driver age varies by vehicle, typically 21–25 years old — the exact requirement for each vehicle is stated on its Vehicle Detail page.

2. License / IDP requirements

Self-drive renters must hold a valid driver's license or International Driving Permit (IDP), held for a minimum period (typically 1–3 years depending on vehicle category). Chauffeur bookings do not require the renter to hold a license.

3. Insurance coverage & exclusions

All rentals include third-party liability coverage. Damage to the vehicle beyond normal wear is assessed against the security deposit. Coverage excludes: driving under the influence, off-permitted-road use in non-4x4 vehicles, and unauthorized additional drivers.

4. Security deposit

A refundable security deposit (amount shown per vehicle) is held at pickup and released after a post-rental inspection confirms the vehicle's condition matches pickup.
